Over our 4 day stay in 1770 we stopped in 3 times. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel really welcome with our dog, both at the bar and at the restaurant.nThe view and location is amazing with a good vibe.nThe food is average but good for a pub feed. The pricing is a little steep, but it is a pretty isolated location so I understand

Service was great. Had the chicken kebabs and wedges. Not going to cut it for family bugets. The takeaway fish n chips for $12 looked like a good option. Pity we didn't see the sign until leaving.

If I could give a negative star rating I would. The venue is in an amazing location on the water at 1770. The venue is like walking into a old school cafeteria (plastic tables and chairs). But the food is probably the most atrocious meal I have ever eaten. For a water front venue and the price of the food you would expect a fresh seafood and a generous portion, what we received was frozen, re-fried seafood the size of a child's portion, a 6 inch pizza for $20 that was previously a McCains Pizza. Do yourself a favour and order the $38 ribs, they are boiled and as chewy as a dried leather shoe, what a joke, What a missed opportunity the owners should be ashamed. Safe yourself the torment and cook yourself.

The staff were fantastic. It had a friendly atmosphere and was busy when we ordered, the staff made us aware there was going to be a wait due to volume of order which I think was showed they care about their customers. The food was well presented, just a little over priced for what you got. But eating out always comes at a cost .
