Had an absolute ball learning from Oscar and Getty. They taught us so much so quickly and made every session fun. More than just having a lovely dance at our wedding it gave us something fun to do as a couple outside of busy wedding prep.nnIt was so helpful how much they filmed our progress so we could practice in between classes.nnWe would absolutely recommend this for any couples.nnAlso lots of free parking around which is always a plus in the city
My husband and I found a dance video on YouTube that we loved and wanted to learn for our first dance but didn’t know where to start and we also wanted to change a few moves as we didn’t like it personally so we knew we needed help. After discovering Adelaide Wedding Dance and had our first lesson with Getty we had so much fun we knew we had to keep going back! We enjoyed every lessons and learnt so much. The communication and explanations were excellent and easy to understand. Getty is very patient and will teach you to your best potential. She made some changes to the dance style which suits us and our personality so that made the dance extra special. Everyone complimented on how great it was on the night. I highly recommend! Not only you will gain so much skills but you will genuinely enjoy your time there!
Getty got us ready for our wedding so well!nWe had some reservations as we are not confident or experienced dancers but as a result of having dance lessons we were able to get the basics and add some extras in!nWhat we liked most was that as long as we put the work in, we were able to progress and get better.nOther things that we liked were that she was very accommodating with our busy schedules, the package was very reasonably priced for the attention we received and we weren't asked to do anything that made us uncomfortable!nOur wedding dance was good even though the band kind of messed up the song but our lessons prepared us to act on the fly and take it on the chin thankfully.nIf we were to come back and try again we might try to do something harder.nIf I could give one piece of advice to other wedding couples who are thinking about doing dancing lessons I would say definitely do lessons and definitely try Getty if you are in Adelaide!
Getty and Oscar were amazing teachers throughout our first dance “journey”. They supported us at the start and then pushed us at the end to really make our dance stand out!nWe loved the atmosphere so much there we are actually going back to do group salsa sessions.nThank you!!
With 6 weeks left on the clock and after a couple failed attempts at dancing/practicing in our kitchen (if you’re reading this then I’m sure you know exactly what I mean) my partner and I met with and had most of our lessons with Getty. She was amazing and listened to what we wanted. We wanted to keep it simple, very natural looking, to learn how to move around the floor better without too many tricks that we could mess up on the day and that’s exactly what Getty delivered. She made us feel comfortable, a lot more confident, and she made it fun. I’m so glad that we did this instead of just shuffling around on the dance floor waiting desperately for our bridal party to join and save us. It looked a lot (huge emphasis here) better than what I’ve described above and everyone loved it. We initially booked in for what I think was a trial class and after the first lesson we could see that we were already so much better than when we’d walked in. If you’re a couple still considering whether or not to take classes, I’d say you should go for it. This experience was absolutely worth it.
