Great national park, lots of picnic tables available at the two pools which makes it a great spot for a picnic. A good variety of well maintained walk trails go from the pools. Some trails go along the river and other longer walks go through the native bushland.

Camp ground has no water at all. The rainwater tank outside was empty and it's still spring. But down at the pool there is rain water. If you go down stream from the main area there's lots of rocks over a flat area where the water flows over more rapidly. It's a nice area to wade and play with rocks. You can stack them or make your own little pools by arranging the rocks. BBQs and tables provided.

Wonderful National Park. Avon river winds through collecting in a couple of pools suitable for lovely dip. Clearly marked trails of differing challenge levels and the site of the Perth Trail Series - Wallygrunta race. $12 entry per car or have a National Parks pass. Camping possible with prior arrangement with rangers.

Located just out of Swan Valley, its an amazing place. If you plan on doing the hikes I would recommend at least 3 hours, there are 4 different trails you can take and they are mapped out well. However, the distance of each track is not displayed. My partner and I decided to do the black track and that took us about 3 hours. It is a really long track and you have to be careful because there are alot of steap inclines and decents and its slippery as well but the views are definitely worth it. There are shorted trails if you don't have much time as well as really great picnic spots by the river. Though I highly recommend doing the big trail, trust me its worth it but go prepared. Its an awesome place to spend the day, wish I had been here sooner. Need to go back soon!!!!

Great walks by the river and some nice wild flowers.
