We went to butterfly gorge. A beautiful hike over a plateaup witht palm trees and nice rock formations. Continues down the gorge and to the water. Follow the path on the rocks for 50 meters and you'll have an amazing view. It's nice but not too breathtaking. Some might say not worth the hike. Took us 4hrs return with 30 min break at the gorge. No good access to the water tho. Unfortunately this park is the worst organised park I have ever seen in Australia. There are very good maps of the hikes everywhere and the trails are extraordinarily well signed out but all this is useless if you don't update your information. The lookout on the Baruwei Walk is closed. You will not see this on any of the many maps all over the camping and parking area. Once you start your walk you'll walk into a closed trail without any information. You'll only see a sign saying that Baruwei Walk is closed what is not true. Baruwei walk is open! Only the part with the lookout is closed. Baruwei Walk is the beginning walk of all the other hikes and is OPEN! You will see those signs all the way up to the first junction. This is very misleading information. I am sure that many people have left the park thinking that all the walks are closed. Furthermore the southern rock hole is not suitable for swimming right now. You will see this on a sign on the first junction. No information about this anywhere else. PUT SIGNS ON A L L THE MAPS AROUND THE CAMPING AND PARKING AREA WITH THR CORRECT INFORMATION AND UPDATES ABOUT ROCK HOLES. The national Park is beautiful tho. Go and enjoy the nature but don't spend any money there. Don't support national parks that don't give a f*** about their guests.

Great park. Options for most fitness levels. Trail markers were a bit poor on some trail sections but they were exceptions to the mostly well maintained park. Lots of trail work being done during my visit, should be an exceptional park in a few months. NT parks staff very helpful and knowledgeable.

Did a cruise and absolutely loved it. Our tour guide (a aboriginal man) *sorry didn't get his name* was amazing, telling us about the Gorge and how they believe it was formed, told us about paintings, what the different plants were used for. Fascinating! We are planning to come back in June time so we can maybe see some freshies on the riverbed and would deffinatly like to come back after a good rainy season to see how the water level changes

Did the helicopter flight over 13 gorges. Spectacular.

We did a river cruise here and it was absolutely stunning. We here just on sunset on a perfect clear day and it almost felt surreal. On top of that we were also offered dinner, the food was great and the staff were very friendly. Really an unforgettable experience.
