Darwin International Airport

Easy Airport to get around but only one place open to eat. The food is good but because of other shops closed it restricts what you can eat. Don't know why they're not open anymore but it's a bit disappointing.

My experience at Darwin airport was very nice and comfortable. The customer service from Wilson Security was outstanding. The officer was very kind, helpful and informative.

Darwin international & domestic airport share the same terminal, short drive from the city, took about 15mins & no heavy traffic. It's a fairly basic terminal with the usual check in & security checks, on the plus side the baggage trolleys are free. Once you have cleared security you will find the standard over priced coffees & food found at all airports.

Darwin International was my final layover spot before heading to Timor Leste. I arrived here from a flight that originated from Sydney. I don't remember why but I wasn't allowed to stay in the terminal waiting area. Instead I had to wait in front of the airport past security. With nowhere to rest, I set my bags down to lay on the carpeted floor. Staff didn't hassle, disturbed or try to move me. Everyone was nice to me. I'm pretty easy going, waiting on the floor didn't bother me. Once boarding time arrived, it was an easy process to get into the plane. Oh, there's shops and places to eat once inside the terminal.
