Newly Refurbished. Great Library.
I come and work here sometimes. It is a great experience. Plenty of places to sit. The cafe is really cute and the people running it are a delight. I really love the way libraries are becoming these community hubs. And this one is a shining example of that. There is always something happening.
We often bring kids to borrow books in this library until today we found a plastic board in a scan machine got massive black/ grey color stains on top. Checked other ones are also dirty but not as bad as the one I was using. It looked like cleaners haven't cleaned those areas for a while. And my kids had to put books on the top to scan books. It was absolutely disgusting. Two ladies working in the library said those were just wear and tear, and I could use other machines to scan the books. Finally, I got a wet wipe and gave it try to scrub the dirt off. Yes, I did. Those were not wear and tear but disgusting black color sticky dirt and stains on plastic scanning board. I can't believe it.
Recently been to this library. They have excellent collection. Variety of comfortable workstations, charging points and helpful staff at the counter offers great experience. Library is sometimes bit noisy but that should be ok as people should be able to come with kids and spend sometime picking up the books and all.
Mill park library is highly accessible by public transport in close proximity to Mc Donald’s.
I wish they would make up their minds about where to return books a stupid thought bubble one minute outside the next inside. I no longer stay to read or study its too noisy more like a fish market
