Jamaica Blue Westfield Hornsby - Near Myer

I'm sorry to write such an unfavourable review, but this was the worst cafe I've been to in a long time. If you need something to eat or drink in Westfield Hornsby and you're able to go literally anywhere else, do! We almost asked for a refund so we could leave, but we didn't have time. My friend and I had 30 minutes to catch up and then we both had to go. It's not the fault of the young, poorly trained and extremely timid girl behind the counter who was left there to manage the place by herself - it's the owner's fault. I felt sorry for her. She had no idea what she was doing. And I don't think English is her first language, so she had trouble understanding simple food and drink orders and responding to basic questions. The choice of food in the window was limited and pretty terrible. I asked if there was a menu (ie. more options, such as sandwiches), but the girl didn't seem to understand what a menu was, so I just chose from what I could see in the window. It took 15 minutes for our coffees to be made and there was no one else there. And the atmosphere was depressing. If that young girl was my daughter, I'd help her find another hospitality job - someplace where she might be trained properly and not given more responsibility than she can handle at this point.

Staff member who served me was very indifferent, the meal was okay but overpriced. Waited up to 15 minutes for meal to be served, and it wasn't even a peak period

Tried several times this coffee shop but always disappointed. Tried again this week BIG MISTAKE ordered smashed Avocado another big Mistake. Untoasted sour dough bread , very little avocado, smallest poached egg EVER ,tiniest piece of feta .table not clean, service not at all friendly DEFINITELY DEFINITELY not ever ever going there again DON'T WANT to waste my money or be Disappointed again .

Nice coffee but no smile while serving

The bacon and egg roll was one of the best that I have had. The other members of my party had a cinnamon cheese cake and a vanilla slice with a flat white and a cappuccino coffee. If you love cinnamon then you would like this cheesecake. The vanilla slice wasn't a traditional slice as there wasn't much custard in it. It could have been better. The negative was the coffee. We come here reasonably often and find the coffee to be quite variable. Sometimes very nice, sometimes not. Today was definitely 'not'.
