Waterside Accommodation - Derwent Retreat

Very quiet location with excellent views yet only a short drive to nearby shops of the freeway. There were 6 of us & there was more than ample room. Found it better to stay here than in the heart of the city. Hobart has good views everywhere no need to go to the mountain to have a good view. A very comfortable & enjoyable stay.

Our family has thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of staying here twice, now, during our Tasmanian holidays! We have appreciated John's helpfulness and hospitality in ensuring our stays have been relaxing and memorable. The home is very comfortable and spacious and has everything you need. We love the beautiful water and mountain views which are visible from nearly every room in the home. The outside balcony is a favourite spot to enjoy a meal. The established gardens are also lovely and the property is pet-friendly. The location is an ideal base from which to explore areas in and around the Hobart vicinity, as well as the National Parks and Historic Towns further afield. If you appreciate comfort, spaciousness, peace and tranquility by the river, within a short drive of the CBD, look no further. We can't wait to return!
