Probably not the exact same location but I'm rather fascinated to visit Cunnamulla airfield. Nancy Bird-Walton was based here, flying nurses to remote locations, for a short time. --- In February 1940 the plane she was using, a De Havilland Leopard Moth, VH-UUG, crashed. The plane wasn't being flown by Nancy Bird at the time but I believe the accident ended her base here. --- Rather fitting that the airport road is named Nancy Bird-Walton Way.
