How u can get so close to the animals was amazing and can feed the zebras for free
This Zoo is by far how a Zoo should be with both interactive animal encounters and a vast array of animals. Darling Downs Zoo exceeds all expectations. Their staff are friendly and kind. The animals are well looked after and surrounded by incredible environments to suit their habitats. We took our kids here over the weekend and were blown away with how great the experience was. Our kids got to feed the animals, learn about their habitats and where they were from in the world. Given that this Zoo has no government funding my husband and I were blown away with the care provided to these animals. It’s a true credit to the zoo and it’s staff. As we have 3 kids all under 10 this was an easy and fun filled experience and personally we would visit Darling Downs Zoo before Australia Zoo based on the activities provided and animals to see. We highly recommend visiting it’s a great price for a 10/10 experience.
Cute little Zoo with a good variety of animals. I wouldn't recommend visiting in summer as there is not a lot of shade and would be scorching hot. Animals mostly seem to be well looked after, although some could have bigger enclosures with more greenery.
Sure my Son enjoyed seeing the animals, but my Son is 3 and would literally enjoy seeing ANY animals. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Come here if you wanna see tiger king in real life. Sad
Wasn't sure what to expect, you hear small zoo and it makes you wonder about how professional this zoo was going to be!
To say I was blown away with not only the professionalism and friendliness of the staff but the zoo itself offers a variety of animals who all look obviously well cared for, to the enclosures which were appropriate for each habitat. Okay I had heard some negativitity re the size of the enclosures particularly for the big cats, well I'm happy to report that the zoo has purchased more land which will be developed with upgraded enclosures. We took part in the Zebra experience which was memorable for all the right reasons ,. The handler was very knowledgeable and could answer all questions without hesitation. She also ensured that we all experienced the Zebras up close. We will be returning to take part in more of these experiences as they are well worth the money !!!
