Rockhampton Zoo

A free attraction in the middle of Rockhampton. The grounds and paths are well maintained with the animal enclosures clean. There are plenty of shaded areas available with mature gums and palm trees overhead. The baby Chimpanzee is a real hit with everyone! There is also large bird exhibit with several different species housed inside.

I don't like the animals locked up in the little cages it is a bit primitive.

The zoo was very promising but overall due to construction the experience left me wanting more.
