I'd waited for so long to be able to get my family out to the sanctuary and it was as amazing as I'd hoped!!! From arrival, the staff were brilliant! Extremely knowledgeable, cheerful, friendly, entertaining and truly appreciated their animals. It was great to roam around the grounds with constant little companions. The sanctuary is settled in a beautiful part of Queensland and the climate is lovely. The reptile show was excellent also. We look forward to visiting again next year when the new attractions are complete. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Great place!! Kids would love feeding the emus and kangaroos, first thing in the morning the animals are the hungriest. I think most of the animals are rescue animals which is great.

I did enjoy our morning at the Wildlife Sanctuary. All the animals appear to be happy & well fed. Plenty of photo opportunities around. Very enjoyable.

Visited this park and was really impressed with the presentation of animals in their enclosures. It looks like they have worked hard to give the animals an appealing and stimulating enclosures. A great variety of animals, many of them are rehoused after recovering from injuries.

For a fun and educational family outing this nearby animal attraction offers all sorts of hands-on wildlife experiences. Relying entirely on donations, Cooberrie Wildlife Sanctuary looks after sick, injured and orphaned species, and has many residents that can’t be safely returned to the wild. Here you’ll be able to hand-feed kangaroos and emus, cuddle a koala, have a macaw perch on your hand and interact with mischievous monkeys. For braver visitors there are snakes, baby crocodiles and lizards to hold. A lot of these experiences take place during the daily animal show at 13:00, and for an extra fee there are special VIP encounter packages and a junior zoo keeper program. The sanctuary also has an on-site swimming pool, paddling and barbecue facilities, included in the entry fee.
