Not so great experience...nnRonald Crisp designs beautiful jewellery and is a great person to talk to and has lots of time until you need to replace or get a refund.nnRecently in August my husband got a pair of earrings for my b’day. Since I had wanted Opals and not diamonds, we immediately went to get a refund or replacement. Ronald did not have an opal collection and was very insistent that he would never process a refund as it affected his book-keeping in some way.nnInstead he agreed to source the opals and make the earrings. Since he was not ready for a refund, he said that the new earrings would be of equal value and we had to take his word for it. He had also agreed to give a matching pendant along, to match up the value.nnFinally in December after much follow-up and consultation, we got the earrings. He asked for additional $1500 for the pendant. And he refused to meet in person and said he was very busy in workshop behind the closed door, even though my husband was there specifically to meet him.nnIn the end, we took the earrings only as we had already spent $2500 for that pair; an additional $1500 for a pendant did not seem worth it

Great jewellery designs and Ronald is a good person to talk to, the good things end over here.nnIf you want to give your partner a surprise or want to get anything done with opals then you can give his establishment a miss.nnIt took me more than 3 months to get a pair of earrings changed even though I was back to his shop the next day itself.nnTimelines and word, they are the hallmarks of a man's personality, Ronald didn't stick to either of them he gave me a lower deal than what he had promised to and there was no means for me to verify the accuracy of the deal that I got as well.nnI won't recommend his business to anyone

I was recommended to Ron from a friend 14yrs ago and ended up choosing him to make our Engagement and Wedding Rings. I have since recommended him to others and they now go to him to have their jewellery made. Ron is friendly brilliant to deal with, I highly recommend seeing him to have your pieces created.

I have known Ron for over 10 years now . He is an excellent jeweller with an exceptional craftsmanship. He has done beautiful rings for me with sapphires, diamonds and opals, rose-gold necklaces with matching bracelets and earrings.nThis year he made the most fantastic ring for me – a 3 carat diamond set on a rose-gold band! The diamond has such a fantastic sparkle, it just makes me happy whenever I wear it. Ron listens to whatever specific design I have in mind – and the result is always an impeccable piece of work! I highly recommend Ron as a jeweller!

Ron Crisp must be one of Sydney's best kept secrets. I would encourage anyone looking for a fine piece of jewellery to contact him, in particular for your engagement and wedding rings. He is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and won't be beaten on price. And he has a real eye for quality stones and impeccable style and taste in what he creates. I cannot recommend Ron enough.
