Riverbrook Restaurant & Cafe at Upper Reach Winery

Came here recently with a few friends for breakfast. Simple menu, very nice food and the waitress was helpful and friendly. Would reccomend for a nice morning out.

Really like to give a better star rating as the food was good and the view over the vineyard was great. However service and prices made us regret our choice for breakfast. Only six tables of four or five people and half of them had already eaten yet it took twenty minutes to get our 3 hot chocolates and one cappuccino which were only luke warm. Breakfast took fifty minutes to arrive and it was tasty but the extra serve of bacon we ordered for my daughter was $5 for one piece. That's right, five bucks for one piece of bacon and nearly an hour to get your order. The longest cooking time for anything on our plates was the sausages which take twenty minutes. If it was one person running the kitchen and serving clients then I may understand but we observed one chef, two kitchen hands and five waiting staff. What a shame, it could be a wonderful place.

Tranquil setting just off the main highway with a balcony overlooking the winery and river.nFriendly and efficient staff, with delicious food. The pork belly main was melt in the mouth good and my friend praised the mango salad with grilled king prawns. I enjoyed a glass of the vineyards shiraz very much too.

Service was shocking, ordered drinks and took about 20 minutes to come out, half of that time they were ready just waiting for a waiter to pick them up. Waiters looked liked they didn’t want to be there, all they did was walk around clearing and cleaning tables and turning the other way if you asked for anything. Food was good for the most part though although it took along time to come out (the ice in my drink had melted by the time the food came out). The crumbed snapper looked like it was came from a birds eye box, tasted nice though. The chips need to be thinner as they are too thick and don’t looked cooked properly. The steak was absolutely delicious though! ud83dude0bnnWould’ve been a much better experience if the waiters weren’t so miserable and actually took the time too make sure they food and drinks were getting given out.nnP.S When you book make sure they deduct your deposit from the bill as I had to ask them as they forgot

After struggling to find somewhere to eat on a Monday we found Riverbrook, and so glad we did. One of the best places we have eaten at in the swan valley. And the adjoining winery was an amazing. The waitress Wiki made the day 10/10. Definitely recommend
