Extremely happy that my van transmission has been repaired.nIt did take longer than I anticipated, though they did give the van exterior a clean.nnAppears to be a well run mechanical service & repair centre.nI'm not wanting to be making many return visits, though it's great to know that they are local.

Very incompetent overall. We were visiting Hawks Nest from Sydney when our car broke down because of a massive coolant leak. We brought our car to this shop and they committed to do their best to have a look at it and hopefully repair it. After a couple of weeks repair, they told us to come over and pick it up, charged us around $690. We were fine with the payment even though most of that amount is only for labor and only around $50 was for the actual parts that they replaced. That was for a radiator cap and a hose clamp from memory but the labor done was difficult to get to the affected area.nnWe were okay with it, we just wanted our car back up and running and to be able to drive it back home to Sydney safely. So we got our car back on a Saturday afternoon around 5PM, we agreed for them to leave the car in the parking lot and leave the key somewhere hidden since they are closed on Saturdays and that's the only day we can come up. So after 15-20 minutes of driving on our way back to Sydney, the car overheated again, in the middle of Pacific High way. This brought us so much trauma and disappointment as we were expecting for the car to drive well and good since they said they have fully repaired it and done enough tests to check that it's all good.nnA few things have made our situation more uncomfortable is the fact that we really needed to be back home that night because I had work the following morning but we just can't since we're stuck in the middle of Pacific Highway and road side assistance hasn't come even after an hour from calling for help. It was already dark and we had no choice but to try and drive the car slowly and hope it doesn't overheat that way. We stopped by a nearby service station and picked up all the compatible coolant and heaps of water to keep refilling the coolant system whenever it overheats on our way. It took us 4 hours and around 8 stop overs because of overheating to get home.nnThe day after, we gave them a call and sent them an email about what happened including a bunch of photos and a video of the break down and asked if they could help us in anyway about what happened. It took them so long to respond because they say their mechanic is on leave which is understandable. When their mechanic spoke to us on the phone about the matter, he said they couldn't help us in anyway at all because he believes that they have done everything they can to repair the car and things like that actually happen.nnAt the end of all that I didn't want to push more for any sort of compensation anymore. It's just very stressful to ask them if they're already set to not give any compensation. I just wanted to put this out here because I believe other people that are shopping around for a n auto repair shop should know this happened.

Helpful and pleasant. I have had work done here and it wasn't inexpensive, but staff seemed competent and friendly.
