Perisher Mid-Station Cafe

Such a great idea! I don’t know another ski resort with a mid-station cafe! If you haven’t visited Perisher, firstly you are missing out big time, and secondly it doesn’t get much better than this! The mid station cafe is in a great location, at the mid station unload of the Perisher quad (hence the name) which is right next to the main entry of the resort. However, if you are heading up to this cafe on your first time skiing, please note the ‘main’ way down back to front valley is quite difficult although marked green. Personally I like the run, but have been with less confident skiers and boarders who are not comfortable going down. I recommend going via Happy Valley (such a great run, best off early in the morning!) or through bullwheel run, which is a flat track leading to the village 8. I almost forgot to mention this is where you will get the best hot chocolate in Australia. I have no idea how they do it, but what ever it is is incredible and definitely worth the line up. COVID-19 protocols were taken very seriously at this resort, as staff are always looking out for the health and safety of their guests. Such a great cafe!

Nice place on the slopes to relax between runs

My honest advice is to head over to Blue Cow or the main Perisher building. The staff and owners here were incredibly rude to my family and I.nnI appreciate that COVID places restrictions on businesses and that this can cause stress for staff, but honestly this place was disgusting.nnI couldn’t honestly recommend this establishment in good faith after my experience today.nnThe table behind me was even asked to leave as they were taking too long to drink their beverages.

Food is ok, staff behind the hot food bar seemed to lack any level of customer service.nnYou literally have to call a few times for their attention to order food while they seem to be doing very little behind counter except for what it seemed to be trying their best to ignore you.nnYesterday I thought the staff were just having a bad day, but today the level of service was the same. Down right terrible!
