Alan has been my go to for gearbox specialty for years highly recommend his services. He’s only there part time and solo so its quite hard to get in to see him as he’s always busy hence his skills. Other than availability he’s one of best this side of town.

Alan found the problem and fixed it at a fair price. I would recommend him

Alan rebuilt my steering rack on my Jeep, my only criticism would be that he failed to bleed the air from the (refurbished) high pressure power steering hose when he reinstalled it which resulted in oil spewing all over the engine bay. Alan did say that the job was of mammoth proportions, he was given the opportunity to refuse to do the work, but he was happy to give it a go.

Took my WRX there with an intermittent power steering fault that would lock up my steering wheel as I tried to turn at speed. Alan was able to diagnose the problem, and fix it even though I couldn't re-create the problem to show him. Car has been handling like a dream ever since. Alan was a friendly guy and charged a very fair amount for the work he had to do. Highly recommend!
