Fawkner Food Bowls

It is made up of sandy soil, with external inputs on top. Council approved of the community garden. It needs more rain water tanks and labour intensive works reduced to be more cost effective.

Lockdown 2020 saw this place bloom into a full urban farm as volunteers scrambled to address food insecurity in the community. Open every Sunday morning (when not in lockdown) for casual gardening, plus sometimes food swaps and workshops. Brunswick Tool Library also setting up every week.

Beautiful community market garden with a great community vibe and a good inclusive, family friendly place to get into the garden, make friendsand learn and share skills.

A relatively new place. Toys for kids to keep them busy. Some veggies are available for sale. You can volunteer as well as give them vegetables scraps to make compost.
