Had a first theater night here last night then it went fabuolus. Such a lovely place. Would like to visit later on. Nice environment, friendly staff, good food as well. Cheers☺️💐
I love this venue and all the willing volunteers are welcoming and helpful. It was a beautiful night last night, with stunning sky. My grand daughter and I loved the movie but our enjoyment was a little spoiled by loud music coming from a nearby event which made it hard to hear the dialogue.
I have been to Burswood and Bassendean and totally loved the experience. Usually you get a paper as you leave though Bassendean didn't seem to cater to all there so get in quick if you want one as we missed out. It's a great cause staffed by volunteers to raise money for charities. We took our 6year old grandy who totally loved the experience. I would recommend you take pillows because whilst the bean bags are comfy, a pillow is great for head support. They have a bar as well as food. La grassiere is well worth the price but you can only do this at Burswood. Check the events page for what's on at the cinemas they have as there are different movies and you may find what you want at another location. It's a totally amazing night out especially for the kids. Highly recommended this amazing cause
Excellent venue. Help the worthy Telethon effort while enjoying a night out under the stars that is something quite different to your usual cinema experience.
Bassendean is much more intimate than Burswood, less people, easier parking.
True there's only one choice of movie per night but just check out the schedule I advance for what you like, easy.
I've been three times this year, the volunteers are all genuine, caring folks, never disappoints.
The temperature at night is just perfect this time of year. The ambience changes as the sun sets.
Free West Australian newspaper at the end.
Don't forget to patronize where you can, ice cream, comfy beanbags (a very reasonable $6), it's all to help the kids, a great cause year in, year out.
Personally the best outdoor cinema, no crowds, not as many insects and comfortable space
