Darbar Indian Restaurant

Loved the food, ambiance and customer service a lot over here. This is the best Indian food that I have had after coming to Australia. Taste of the food which I ate here reminded me of my city back in India.nHighly recommend this restaurant. I will come here again for sure!

We ordered 6 meals - 4 came out at the same time within 15 minutes - then we waited 10, 15, 20 minutes for the last 2 meals. We had to ask 2 different waiters if the other 2 meals were coming. After waiting another 10 minutes a waiter came back to re-take our orders. I asked if we could have complimentary rice with the last 2 meals because the rice was cold by this point. We waited another 10 minutes and finally received our meals. The meals themselves were quite nice but we had waited 45 minutes+ for the final 2 meals. When we received the bill we had been charged for the extra rice, and charged for an extra main which we have only just realised looking at the receipt. Very poor service - and there was no apology given from staff.

Usually don’t write negative reviews but this one scored this review!!!!!! Worst experience ever!! We ordered our food and kept on waiting for like 45 minutes and then waitress came around to ask if we had ordered the food? After advising her that we had ordered the food already, we were informed that the order they took in person didn’t go through their systems and we have to order again which meant waiting for another 20mins at least. I am amazed how are you running the business? We left the venue then and there. They do not have proper staffing system either. Don’t waste your time! Someone please tell me how to remove the 1 star I gave to this restaurant?

Service was quite quick. My mild butter chicken was a bit too spicy for me, but otherwise tasty, and the Lamb shank curry my husband ordered was huge. All very reasonably priced.
