Bupa Aged Care Willoughby

Our mum was Bupa Willoughby late last year and we had a very different experience from other reviews. Like any area that deals with care needs, be it hospitals, GP's, or other services family need to be part of the process. We had a very good experience, the staff were lovely and took great care of mum. We had our reservations initially given the reviews but these largely proved baseless. If you are in a situation where you have to put a loved one in care ensure you are an active participant so that you achieve the result you want.

THE 5 STAR REVIEW IS BY A STAFF MEMBER. This is a conflict of interest. If I could take stars away I would. I wish more people who’s stories of Bupa Willoughby has posted their reviews before my grandmother went in. She lasted less than 12 hours there before she horrifically died. She had dementia and was loud. So the staff moved her away to where there was less people as to not annoy anyone. Her bed rails were raised and when she tried to get up potentially to use the bathroom she fell. Because she was away from everyone she bled to death with no one around to help her. This is just one story of many. Let’s not forget what happened to a gentleman with dementia at Bupa Seaforth. He was beaten constantly by one of the staff there.

More people need to leave feedback on Bupa especially Willoughby. The lack of care and respect to the patients is worrying, especially for those who cannot communicate. It is very worrying that they are still in business. Upon further research, I found that the 5 star review is by a staff member.
