Went today for a casual late lunch. Had the chicken gai yang, loved it so much I had to write a review. Excellent flavour and perfectly cooked. I have been several times (I'm a local) and the food never disappoints. Beautiful location, the gardens are amazing and great service.

Currently closed, however, still taking on-line bookings and sending reminders for bookings made. Very disappointing to arrive, with friends for a special occasion and find that doors are bolted closed

As with all restaurants, quality seems to depend on who's in the kitchen on the day. First time we went the lunch was fresh ,fantastic and beautifully presented. Went again yesterday and I think we got the recooked and burnt leftovers from the day before. Exactly the same order but no comparison. Consistency and freshness is EVERYTHING with food. Won't risk my money there again.. Can't anyone get it consistently right?

Came in for lunch : decent selection of beers and had beef and Guinness pie with mash which was sensational, beef tender and tasty, real creamy mash and flavoursome gravy. Knockout. Staff very friendly too and pleasant shady outdoor area. Some great pubs in the hills.

Used to be amazing but food has really gone downhill recently. Nice place to sit and drink, just dont eat
