BIG4 Howard Springs Holiday Park

I stayed here 6 months with my son. I felt very safe here. The owner & staff very helpful and friendly. Park was well maintained, there was the odd issue but they were right onto it. The location is out of town but that’s awesome. Gets very busy in peak season. I paid bit over $300 a week for a permanent site which was more than others like the coolalinga & Virginia parks but well worth the extra $$$ to feel safe & for the superior ammenities.

We booked a cabin for two adults and three children. When we arrived we were told that there was bedding and resources for four. We were told there was no bedding for the third child, end of discussion and were told that the children could top to toe. Very poor given the booking was made in advance. A lovely well equipped facility was let down by reception staff.

Overpriced and the aircon had a limit of 23 degrees which is pretty stingy on the part of the park. Overly strict conditions on leaving the room clean, if there were any dishes or mess in the cabin they said they will charge you extra. Bed was pretty comfy ☺️.

Was kept awake until well after 11 with noisy neighbours nothing was done. Then at 8am they start drilling and sawing and making noises that disturb other guests and allowed to get away with it. Not a peaceful holiday and we still have 2 plus weeks to go.

The place is nice. Kids like it. But when we were there, the receptionist was very rude.
