Motors Hyundai Hobart

Today I picked up my beautiful Hyundai Kona Highlander. Wanted to give 5 stars to the wonderful staff at Hyundai Motors Hobart. They were all amazing. So helpful, nothing was ever a problem, they went above and beyond to get everything done with no pressure at all. Was seamless from start to finish. Beautiful staff. ❤️👏

We bought a Hyundai Kona Active recently and on the day of collection we drove out of the dealership with the Malfunction Indicator Lamp on. I initially did not realise what this warning light indicated, but after driving 7km I stopped the vehicle and called the dealership to describe the poor driving quality. I sent a picture of the the MIL warning to the salesperson and was told it was a battery light. This did not sit well with me and we looked through the manual to find out what the warning indeed indicated. The vehicle required immediate attention. It was communicated to us that the faulty fuel injector (number 2) needed to be replaced and that the vehicle had apparently been running on 3 cylinders. We requested that the vehicle be replaced due to unanswered questions about how/why this occurred and uncertainty around the quality and safety of this vehicle, but instead we received a token free car service, after all it was 'fixed in a timely manner' (despite a part of the engine needing to be replaced on Day 1). Yes it has a five year warranty, but the motor (obviously the major component of a car) was faulty from collection and we feel disappointed that our perspective has not been properly validated by the Hobart dealership's 'Customer Care' representative. We feel that we are customers who have invested a lot of money into a faulty product.
