My husband and I renewed and received our passports finally-this process was time consuming frustrating and unnecessary additional cost to us. I am a calm, rational person-today I have the need to give you some suggestions. Having two attempts at printing off the Passport Renewal Online Form x 2, driving the round trip to Australia Post twice, submitting at Australia Post, they were rejected twice (the last time was because the bottom triangle on the form was missing 2mm off it!). Australia Post suggested to look at my printer settings!! I did twice I can tell you. I have a suggestion for DFAT Hobart Tasmania: could you please review your forms so that the content is well within printable range for any type printer with spare space at the end of the page. It would make sense to make the font a tad smaller. This didn't work for us. Next step-We both had to ring through separately to have the Renewal Forms mailed out to us, which they were-thankyou for that. We filled out and submitted our forms with Australia Post AND IN ADDITION filled out a request form which we signed, requesting that DFAT post to our PO BOX as our mail service to our rural home address was sometimes unreliable. As the image attached shows, you totally ignored our request. They went around the district for sometime-they are important documents and they are ours. Luckily they found us before our travels. I have a suggestion for DFAT Hobart Tasmania: please do not ignore these signed request letters, particularly for people living in rural areas. We don't always have the best and most efficient services and I know this, but please for you, be aware of it. I hope these suggestions are helpful to you and others. Have a good day.
