Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary

Loved every second here. We came with our family and enjoyed both wandering around feeding the animals (particularly enjoyed by our 6 year old), and the guided tour was awesome too. No complaints at all.

Trowunna wild life park has always been a favorite place of mine from a child to an adult I have come spent time with the amazing wild life and workers. And I have to say the team there are some of the most caring people when it comes to looking after the wildlife and helping them return to the wild when possible. So much so that some animals return during breading season just to have a safe and comfortable place to raise there young

We arrived in good time for one of the free tours/talks about the wildlife there which was brilliant. The talk was interesting and informative and if you want to, there are multiple photo opportunities and you can stoke some of the animals whilst a keeper holds them. We were so pleased to see the Tasmanian Devils and also saw Quolls, Echidnas, Wombats and the inevitable kangaroos. When you but you ticket at the entrance you will be asked if you wish to buy Kangaroo feed but don’t unless you have children and the kangaroos are so tame, fat and overfed, they are disinclined to even get up! Great facility but get there in time for the twice daily free tour as this makes it.

Such a great experience! We learnt something new about wombats and the devils when we participated the guided tour, which was very nice. (Tour was included with the entry fee) We spent a lot of time with the kangaroos and we fed them as well. Long story short: very enjoyable visit, friendly staff and a bunch of cute animals! Worth a visit!
