Beyond disappointed with the service I received at Amelia Jacobs MacArthur Square today. First of all, the stylist who washed my hair burnt my scalp, but this was nothing compared to the rude and hurtful attitude I received from who I believe was a senior stylist. She was snarky in telling me my hair colour had become ‘yucky’, my hair was frizzy and uneven. She completely ignored my wishes to have my hair tapered, saying she wasn’t touching the front of my hair and making me feel very silly. She was rough with my hair too, making me feel like a nuisance for being there even though I had an appointment. Then to make matters worse, she used me as an example for another customer to not cut their hair short, calling me out in front of the whole salon. I felt embarrassed and degraded, especially after I had decided to get my hair done to make myself feel a little better. So inconsiderate and nasty, and other reviews seem to suggest the same thing. If you want to feel good about yourself, this is not the place to do it. Horrible (except for the lovely young apprentice, Georgia, who was kind and sweet!).

They were efficient and friendly and having a child with Autism they tried to make the environment of the shop as comfortable as possible.

Have had many hair cuts here off multiple people can't remember names but highly recommend, all ways satisfied happy customer
