ANSWER TO LARRY'S (NSW REP) REPLY BELOW:nHi Larry. Let me be very clear - the permanent damage I refer to below was caused by a washed towel which was spun dry (so only moist) hanging on an airing rack where one end of the towel slightly dropped onto the floor. There is no way this would disturb a normal sealing wax! This is a serious flaw in this products ability to protect against moisture and is a LONG WAY from leaving a puddle of water on the floor as Larry mentions below. This is important for prospective purchasers to be aware of and I say again, this kind of warning of anything remotely moist being left on the floor (by mistake) over hours is important to heed.nnPlus Larry you seem to have failed to read where I said below I have tried the tannin remover to no avail. Sanding back the floor, which was bleached, will not be at all an easy task and will leave it patchy.nnORIGINAL REVIEW: I am giving this expensive product 1 star because, despite doing everything I was told including applying a tannin sealer, the 'one coat' oil does not protect completely. That is, if you leave something moist, like a towel, on the surface for hours it creates a permanent darker stain. It is fine with stains you wipe off immediately or even dry greasy stains left on, but anything wet watch out! The rep did not warn me about this and when I fed back about it he told me to use another product, Tannin remover, but this has not worked. Originally when I inquired about putting a sealing protective surface wax product over the oiled surface I was told it doesn't need it and the same rep based in NSW even threatened that if I did it would void the warranty (although he never presented that warranty information on request).nnSo although it is a reasonably good product, beware of the hype the salesmen uses - it is not a complete sealer! I am still scratching my head about what to do
