Wayz Goose Cafe

I've been going to this venue since the 80s, can't remember which year exactly. They served a wicked Italian Hot Chocolate but that's no longer the case which is a shame. I happily drove down from the Central Coast to enjoy it... The food's good and the service friendly.

We come here each time we are in Leura. I’ve edited my last review to give 4 stars rather than 5 as the quality of the food wasn’t quite as good as last time. The coffees were great but the mushrooms and tomatoes that we had as a side to our breakfast weren’t properly cooked and had no flavour. When you charge top dollar for sides, it’s disappointing.

The Wayz Goose staff were extremely friendly, very easy to speak with and prompt with our order. Their Pumpkin Soup was very good and was a large, filling portion. It was a perfect little place to stop for brunch after an early mornings hike nearby. (bonus, they carry oat and almond milk)

Great scones, good coffee. A rather unwelcoming handwritten sign at the entrance that says if you are nasty to their staff, you will be refused service. How often can that happen that warrants warning all customers on entry??!! Starts the experience on a negative. Take down the sign and you get 5 stars.

Took the full breakfast. Eggs (poached) were cooked to perfection but bacon unevenly grilled. "Spicy" baked beans out of a can; anything but spicy. Coffee average. So an uneven experience, one I won't be repeating. Nonetheless, a lovely setting keeping to Covid-19 requirements. Situated close to parking and can be accessed directly from it.
