I took my 35 year old Elu TG 172 flip saw to Mr Mohammed when it went faulty with an electrical problem associated with the starting mechanism,nnMr Mohammed wasn't able to get a replacement part as the part is no longer available but fabricated one. Nothing bodgy, a very neat looking job. The saw is working fine and I have hopes it will see out the rest of my life.nnI found Mr Mohammed technically very skilful, very knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. Prior to going to Mr Mohammed, I tried various other tool repair places in Sydney and Canberra. Several of them had never heard of Elu (now out of business after being bought by DeWalt), weren't interested or said it depended on spares availability. That is, the other places were only able to swap defective parts with the manufacturer's spares and couldn't look beyond that. One place told me they didn't hold out much hope but in any case wouldn't be able to look at if for at least four weeks. Mr Mohammed had it up and working within a week and charged what I thought was a fair price.nnI would go to him again.nnI noticed another reviewer commented on the mess in the workshop and wouldn't leave his tools there. Understand what the reviewer was saying. It certainly is chaotic and it did put me off when I got there. Despite that, Mr Mohammed inspired confidence and the result was what I wanted.
