Had Julian come out to give us an appraisal on some renovations. Nothing but courteous and friendly whilst here, not complaining about that. He told us it would take a few days to get a quote back to us, all good there, partner and I work so wasn't needed in a massive rush. 1 week later and my partner calls to see if the quote is ready yet. Response was that he was busy and would get it to us within a day or two. About 5 days later, still nothing, rang up again and he was unavailable but the receptionist said she'd follow it up and call back that afternoon (our call was made prior to lunch). That afternoon, nothing. The entire weekend, nothing, Monday, nothing, Tuesday nothing, keep this pattern up for coming up 4 months now and we're over it. No return calls, no apologies. No business for them from us ever! We were waiting for the quote to go ahead on the understanding it wasn't going to be massively over the top, looks like our business isn't good enough for them. Must be great being a business making so much money you can turn your back on not only us, but several other couples and families we know who were looking at renovations and we've done nothing but bag this company. Hopefully you read this, figure out who it is, because I can't imagine you'd be doing this to too many people without going bust and fix your systems. Feel free to get back to us at some point in time to explain yourselves. We believe we're owed that much. Happy to edit this review if any of you man up and apologise, we're still never going to give you business or referrals, but we'll let people know you tried to make right on 4 and a half months of ignorance.

I am leaving a 4 star review as I had an amazing start to my build experience, my build itself it beautiful. But to be left the day before getting the keys with the knowledge that I had to do my stormwater, holes under my slab where water got under, no hole drilled for my washing machine, my rainwater tank not hooked up to actually collect rainwater. And generally the time limit given at the start sounded great to be in at Christmas did not occur till 2 months later. So although the build process was smooth till the end , I was let down. Even after sending more business their way. I would recommend the builders for the quality of build I got but would pass on this info as these things really caused me dramas at the time I did not need them.

Well what a journey it's been. From day one everyone at Southern Built Homes have been amazing. It was challenging for me as I was going from a 4x2 to a 2x1 granny flat. They helped me create my forever home and offered advise if I strayed off the path and bought me back into line with my budget. They kept me updated while I was away for 3 months and were very respectful of the fact that it was an existing property and home with lots of animals. The end result is my beautiful home on the farm where I can reflect and enjoy. I can't thank them enough and can honestly recommend that you contact Thank you all so much.

We built with SBH last year (have been in for 10months) and are so happy with the whole process. We were able to work with them to achieve exactly what we wanted in a home and for our budget. All the trades who worked on the house were great and did a wonderful job. We continually get asked about our home and will always recommend them.

Extremely professional and high quality renovation of our bathroom and kitchen. Work was completed in a timely fashion and everyone involved was very easy to work with. Good follow up after renovations finished. Thankyou.
