F1 Motor Group Mechanic Southport, Gold Coast

I have a Holden Cruze which showed message telling me 'power steering requires service'.nTook it to Holden to assess and advise what it needed to fix issue. Was given a quote from Holden for $1,400 to replace thermostat housing and turbo cooler hose - they advised these had cracks/split in them and therefore leaking. I also needed battery replaced. Advised Holden I was going to get another quote from another mechanic. I sent quote to Mical at Midas Southport (F1 Motor Group). Based on what was listed on the quote from Holden, Mical quoted around $700 (amount on quote was not showing as I removed it before sending quote to Mical) - half the quote from Holden, so I went with Mical and booked in to have him for repairs.nnLater on day of repairs, Mical called me and advised repairs would cost $55.00!!! Plus battery and coolant. He advised, he decided to check for himself both thermostat housing and hose - he found these were NOT cracked or split, so did not need replacing at all. All that was required was to replace a metal ring that went around the hose...nothing more. So all I ended up paying for was metal ring, coolant and battery - under $400!!! When I went to pick up my car, Mical took the time to show me what was replaced and explained what had caused the fault message.nnI am so grateful to Mical for his honesty and professionalism - not only did he save me lots of money, but he didn't treat me like a dumb female who knows nothing about cars. Thank you Mical...I will certainly be back.

Guys were great and very friendly. Not my first service at this branch and definitely not my last.

Worst service ever, don't go there!!! This Chinese guy just wanna charge customer as much as possible each time by using some small strategy. He told me that some of my engine component has a low quality but after replacing by his new components it was still not working well. But he still charge my money for that. I felt so shame on him. This place definitely should be shuttled down cuz they just wanna maximize their profit and

I went there to service my Mercedes, the mechanics are professional and they notices me my problem once they found out. I decided not to go ahead at first as I'm not sure about the price. The girl printed out the invoice with what's the problem, I use the invoice to quote from other mechanic, the price are little bit more expensive so I call back and they order the parts and get it done within short period. I'm impress with the service and their customer service. Would highly recommended to others.
