Joe's bar and lounge

I'm a local and go to Joe's regularly. Their lunch specials are great value very tasty with big portions. Happy hour drinks are fantastic served by friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Great prices, but your chef is letting you down. We ordered a filet steak and rump steak, both well done, however what we received was 2 medium done chew-fest steaks.nSuggest either send your chef up the road for training where we had a perfectly cook well done steak, but if it is an attitude issue that steaks should not be cooked well done I would suggest to start looking for a replacement. As the paying customer I want my meat done my way, not the way a chef thinks it should be done, period!

Wow, what a way to finish off a holiday, with the worst experience we have had in a week. Promise of a good value meal, in a nice location. All those who have marked with five stars must have sampled plenty of the beers at the brew house before attending.n1. Make sure you check your meals order before letting the untrained attendant leave the table - because that is the last time you will see them until they bring the wrong meal out. Better still, ask if you can write the order down for them.n2. If you order the Surf and Turf - don’t do it on a Monday night (steak special) cause you will get the $12 special with 4 prawns in for $30, nearly 3 times the price.n3. When they get your order wrong - speak very clearly, cause they get the 2nd and pretty sure the 3rd order wrong (see point 1).n4. Don’t expect an apology or even any eye contact when the owner of Joe’s tries to charge you for all the wrong meals, plus the right meals, then can’t give you a bill to check off, so works it out manually.n5. Read this review, get up and walk out - go to Maccas - get takeaway and put it on a plate.nnLong story short, my wife didn’t eat her spaghetti (oops - wrong), Aussie burger (oops wrong) or “chicken burger” (tasted horrible), my Son has his $12 steak special, I had my $12 steak special with prawns on top for $29 ($4 a prawn), and my daughter had 4 of 6 nuggets. - oh - we also had all these things before my wife got her first wrong meal.nnJoe’s Cheap but Nasty - won’t visit again.

The rump steak was okay but i asked for medium rare and got pretty much well done , and the chips had definitely been reheated, aswell as the salad being very old. not the worst meal ever but could’ve been a lot better!

Bit hit and miss. Cleanliness is a big opportunity. Drink glasses were all dirty that we received except for the alcoholic beverages glasses.nAlso appeared that communication and training was lacking.nNot sure what policies they had in place but we had to have our order taken twice because the new employee apparently did it wrong? Felt bad for the new employee as it appeared that they were not communicating enough to support him.nOne poor staff member was lovely but appeared stressed like she was having to carry everyone’s slack. Hat off to the lovely employee who went above and beyond with the long dark ponytail/plat.nNice placed just really would be nice to lift a few standards to meet industry benchmarks and not leave us wondering if we were going to end up with food poisoning as we slowly saw red flags after ordering.
