Guzman y Gomez

I have been frequenting Guzman for many years, it’s a regular choice for work lunch and quick weekend dinners. My order is always the same, exactly the same. Tonight we went to surfers paradise Guzman, I ordered extra sour cream like I always do. I opened my box to find the smallest amount of sour cream I’ve ever seen, I thought they’ve just forgotten to put the sour cream on, that’s no worries, I went back up to ask for the extra sour cream I paid for and the young girl went to get her manager. The manager then proceeded to argue with me that they did put extra sour cream on and if I wanted anymore I needed to pay for ‘triple extra sour cream’. Then when we advised we hadn’t received our drinks the manager again proceeded to argue that we had. We told them to look at our table where I food had not yet been touched and zero drinks present. Something that should have just been a quick fix turned into a huge drama. The managers response to customers is appalling. I will never be attending Guzman surfers again.

Yum food, always fresh. Excellent pricing and quite a lot of food.nLove the churros!!!! A must try!nRight to the point service, but nothing special to add regarding that.

Back a couple of years ago I would have given guzmans a 5 star review, but now I am just being constantly disappointed by my orders. Quality has gone down, it is more expensive and it is always a hit and miss for what type of meal you will get. My favourite dish to order is the enchilada but it is always a gamble of whether you will get a piss small of a enchilada or a semi decent enchilada. And too bad if you order sourcream on the side. Good chance it will not come with the order if you get it delivered.nnI also see

Just wants to give you a feed back about our recent experience. We usually love Guzman y Gomes but today we went to GYG at surfers paradise we had a poor experience with group of 10 and 4 kids. We ordered all the different type of food through the app and over the counter. Food was too cold , not enough stuffing, only dry chips and rice in burrito bowl. Vegetables are too soggy, not enough sauce.!! We didn’t enjoy at all. The quality and quantity both poor. I was waiting too long to get something staff didn’t want to attempt and help. I told one of the staff member about our experience and manager came from the till and jump in to the conversation and she was just giving useless excuse she didn’t wants to take feed back she was blaming online ordering is like that however we did place online order as well as in person order she was so rude didn’t have any answer about poor service and food. Not sure it will make me to go anytime again after this experience.

I was after a healthier halal option so I went for the nachos with slow cooked beef and it hit the spot for me, I also got a soft chicken taco which was absolutely delicious. Worth a try guys.
