Care Park

I received a parking ticket stating that I had exceeded the 2-hour free parking. However, the car park entrance gates being open on arrival led me to believe it was not in use and that therefore there was no limit for the car park at the time. The A4 letter in small font taped to the ticket dispenser was grossly inadequate for indicating new parking payment procedures (especially given the need to keep driving into the carpark due to cars coming behind, meaning zero opportunity to read said letter).nThis is the first parking ticket that I have ever received because I am very careful to obey parking regulations. If the blue sign indicating to pay on the app was more prominently display through the car park - and particularly at the entrance, rather than the letter - I would not have missed it. My friends who were dining with me also parked there and also believed there was no parking limit. With this in mind it is hard to not conclude that the lack of clear signage was an intentional method of revenue-raising, and I feel robbed as a result.
