I bought a car from Darwin Auto Motors that was unsafe and unroadworthy. I should have known when they recommended that I don't take the car to my mechanic for a check first. But the car was cheap and I bought it any way (big mistake!). They did not want a bar of me when I went to discuss a refund and returning the car. I went to ACCC to complain about their dodgy practices and then Darwin Auto Motors were ok with refunding me what I spent.nnI have found out that this is a common practice for them. They sell cars cheap that should not be sold as roadworthy. Who ever is doing the rego checks for them should be lose their licence!nnI found Darwin Auto Motors to be very dishonest. I do not recommend buying a car from them, at least not without having a mechanic check it over first.
