Alawa Fish & Chips (Take Away & Restaurant)

Best batter! Pleasantly surprised to find this great place, the batter isn’t your usual fish and chip shop fare. Really added flavour to already delicious food. Absolutely recommend

Unfortunately we had a bad experience here last week, the chips were good but 2 out of 3 pieces of fish we couldn’t even get a fork into, they were like battered house bricks and had to throw it all away. Disappointed with the meal overall, sorry.

We think this place is great, the service was great. They were really friendly and there was no wait. I pretty much had 3 people serving me. The pineapple fritter were delicious too.

C'mon now!n- the fish and the batter taste like cough medicine mixed with herb (gunja)nplease remove the herb from the batter. try to force myself to eat it as i was starving and all i could feel was the texture of the batter in the back of my throat.nnpeople do not order fish from here unless you wanna choke.... n die

Only rating 1 star because I can’t rate 0. Took 30mins when we were the only people in the shop. Chips are ok, onion rings are bad, the ‘flake’ I wouldn’t even feed to my dog. Hard as a rock! Will never go back there
