Lucafe Italian Takeaway

The food was absolutely superb.nThe serving staff was a little over enthusiastic, customers do not want dishes removed mid meal or to be bothered quite so often. She was very sweet but much too intrusive. Maybe she was new.

Always love going Lucafe ..great food and service. It feels like being welcomed to someone's home. I was the first to try the rocky road cheesecake..yummo! Support small business and these hard working people..this is a hidden gem.

We have enjoyed some great meals here in the past... but not this time!nnThis is how it went:nn- We ordered tap water & was delivered an OPEN bottle of spring water that we were billed for!nn- two meals - bland & delivered hurriedly...nn- Staff CONSTANTLY HOVERING, hurrying us to finish!nn- Took an order for sweets & coffee then Rushed us to finish - & started stacking chairs around us!!!nn- That’s the last $100+ that you will get from us!!!

Disappointing experience.... Gave this place a try for the first time and unfortunately won't be going back. Three stars because to be fair the food was nice but the service was hopeless. Not sure if they were having a bad night but the place was not overly busy and they seemed to have enough staff, but the staff did not look like they knew what they were doing. We were given a table then waited......... had to ask for menus, then waited........ had to flag someone down to take our order. After 30 mins we still had not received our drinks, asked one of the waitresses who said she would look into it, drinks were poured and then left on the bar, waitress after waitress walked past them, we waited another ten minutes before my husband just got up and got them himself. Pasta mains arrived, no offer of parmesan or cracked pepper, we asked for parmesan which we promptly received but then later we noticed on the bill they charged us $2 for that. I just have never been to an Italian Restaurant that actually charges for you to put parmesan on your pasta. Its a shame because the $2 is nothing but its annoying, so I guess they got their $2 but at a loss of $100's in lost business.

As authentic as it can get! Great service, good food and has options for kids.
