Best Sushi I have ever eaten, it's so fresh and the chicken is perfectly cooked unlike other sushi places and their service is great!!

I was standing in line to eat salmon salad, and when the cashier picked up the packaged sushi and asked “it’s yours?”, I asked someone else and she first treated the other customer. I was just standing there, but shouldn't I basically find the customer's first and pay for it? After that, I was going to eat salad, and he told me that I should tell the packer, but as you know, the salad was already packed and I just had to take it out, but I didn't understand why I had to wait in line. If so, isn't it right to take it out and explain it later while paying the bill? While I was standing in line, there was no explanation or comment. The service is the worst.
