Ajar On Shadforth

That was honestly the best steak meal I have ever had!!! The chef/owner and staff were so friendly. I will be back and will recommend to everyone. Thank you :)

One of Denmark’s best places to dine. Great food and wine selection with a gorgeous view over the Wilson Inlet. The gnocchi and lasagna were both a hit with our party.

Food was absolutely excellent, nice balance of flavours in the dishes - presentation and dishes amazing.nService was really friendly and knowledgeable.nLocation is beautiful, overlooking rolling hills and it's very picturesque. Recommend to all who want to go!

Long wait to be served and to get attention of the wait staff. Thought they might be understaffed?? The food was great though. Had the cauliflower soup for entree (need more spice and salt imo), eye fillet and lamb back strap special for mains (both cooked perfectly and so yummy) and creme brulee and salted caramel ice cream for dessert (both were good).

We were really looking forward to trying Ajar after looking on their website, the menu looked very nice, the first two things we ordered weren't available, feeling disappointed I remarked to the waitress, (in a friendly tone, because that's who I am) oh bummer i was really looking forward to that, next minute the owner and chef came out and was very aggressive, at first we asked him if he was serious, as we both thought he was joking.... But no, he wasn't.nSo can't comment on the food, as we left,both a little shocked and confused over what we just experienced.nTo say we won't be going back would definately be an understatement.
