Golden Orient Chinese Restaurant

We had takeaway Honey Chicken and Sweet & Sour pork. We thought that both meals were delicious. They weren't too oily, and also didn't have that strong MSG tang. They weren't to sweet either, quite lovely. The fried rice was nice, but didn't have the BBQ grilled flavour to that I would normally expect. Our takeaway meal was ready in 25 minutes, even though when we arrived to pick it up, the restaurant looked busy.

Chinese restaurants hold a special place in the folk lore of country towns in Australia, this one in Esperance is well deserved of it's heritage.nThe service and food both exceptional. I highly recommend it.

The best Chinese meal I have ever had. Fresh vegetables, delicious omelette. Very good wine and beer list.

Food was great and staff were friendly. Prices were the same as any Chinese restaurant in Perth... Would happily eat there again

I looked at the menu prices posted one year ago and decided to go, I waited 45 min for a taxi . when I sat down in this place I was shocked to see the increase of prices. So I got up and walked out. I love Chinese food, haven't eaten any for 2 years and was looking forward to a good meal .just a total disgrace no matter how good the food is . There are many overpriced things in esperance designed to rob the traveling public. None more than the caravan parks. 50 dollars a night average. Spare me .
