Dr Tamara Hunter

I'm honestly quite baffled at how this amazing professional has only 2 stars on here...? My discussion with Dr Tamara Hunter was very clear and concise. All information that I could need regarding my treatment and therapy progession was provided and presented in a non biased and factual manner. I was given a range of choices that best suited my needs and wants and the opportunity to discuss any concerns that I had. She is firm and to the point and also has great transgender/gender queer/queer awareness. I was given a very clear path on what steps I needed to take and where to go next. I would highly recommend Dr Tamara Hunter for any issue requiring a gynecologist.

Excellent, thorough, caring doctor who knows her stuff. I have seen Dr Hunter for gynocologist support, whereby she has always answered all of my questions and I have never felt rushed. My two year old also thinks she is excellent. I would highly recommend.

Don’t waste your money or time. All she is good for is marketing herself. I wasted almost two years trying to fall pregnant under her limited guidance. Didn’t even know who we were at each appt, contradicted her advice, and extremely careless. I could write a book. Saw a new specialist and was successfully pregnant within 6 months. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

For years I have struggled with terrible period pain, ovulation pain, infertility, miscarriages and the list goes on! After my last miscarriage I was referred to a specialist who wasn’t able to get me in until June (6 months from when I was trying to book!) my husband did some research and came across Dr Hunter. When I spoke to the reception there was a cancellation the following week and I was booked in. The appointment went very well, not only were all our questions and concerns answered but I was able to get a surgery date for 4/5 weeks later! Then Australia was facing serious restrictions and shutdowns and I was sure that I was going to have to miss out and wait another few months to have the surgery! Dr Hunter did everything in her power to book me in a week earlier! Then it got cancelled due to the latest restrictions two days before it was meant to go ahead. The following day I received a phone call saying that she was allowed to perform the surgeries that were booked in for the week! Today was the day I got more answers than I bargained for. I went in for a Hysteroscopy to remove the partial septate in my uterus that I knew I had that was probably a root cause of the miscarriages and I Dr Hunter was going to look for endometriosis, check my tubes weren’t blocked and a bunch of other things whilst she was there. Turns out I have widespread Endo, on my bladder, uterus and ovaries!! Thanks to Dr Tamara Hunter for making it so that I could get this surgery even with all the craziness of COVID-19, I felt a little selfish wanting to have the surgery before we went into the inevitable lockdown but after the news I got today I am so glad it happened as another few months of waiting and my situation could have been worse! Now I have had the septum removed, the endo dealt with as best as possible and we hopefully can start trying for our little rainbow 🌈 baby after my next period. Dr Hunter is thorough, informative, caring and compassionate! I could not recommend her highly enough! If we need to go down the IVF route I would not hesitate to go through her! Thank you so much. Was not advised of the correct up front cost (huge bill shock!!) Did not receive a letter or phone call regarding my results When I asked for my results the information provided to my Doctor was incorrect (and had stated something that was never even discussed and in fact untrue). Will not ever be going back here in my lifetime.
