St John of God Bunbury Hospital

Absolutely disgusted at how my 17 year old daughter was treated on her overnight stay last week on 9/9/2020. Her first time in hospital since birth...to have tonsils out. Night nurse no compassion and told her to check her mental health as her being so upset not Normal. Then following morning sent home without pain medication. As we live an hour south she ended up in local hospital the following night all night as her pain was so severe. Couldn't be more disappointed at her treatment. And all this considering we have the best private health cover. Very angry parent

My comments do not take away the efforts, knowledge and experience of the nursing and auxiliary staff. Very disappointed in the failure of the management to ensure I received the best care possible. It is impossible to provide a high level of care with insufficient staffing numbers. The responsibility lays directly with the CEO. I ask that the CEO contact me directly so that we can meet to discuss my concerns with my medical treatment.

Was a Patient a month ago. Not a very good experience at all. Felt like I was being shunted out the door well before I was able never mind ready. Was booked in for overnight stay and obviously due to being an older patient it was not deemed needed by hospital policy after Dr said I could go home that day if appropriate. Nurses were only doing there job as per hospital protocol. Filled in the follow up survey and told them I was not happy with how the hospital performed it,s duty of care. BIG mistake. Follow up phone call a month later from hospital and I was made to feel like it was all my fault for not informing staff who were pushing me out the door about how I was feeling. Does not matter that I had just had surgery. Big lack of communication between the staff and patient and patient support people Next time it is a Perth hospital or public at Bunbury regional even though it means a longer wait. Poor performance and would not recommend St John of God Bunbury.

Was booked in for a procedure today. They ran out of time and didn't want to overwork their staff. Have been sent home with the possibility of not having my procedure until the 20th or having to wait until January. With 4 kids and having planned this to enable me to have help and the necessary time to recover I am beyond unhappy.

I have just had a major operation and I was in ferns ward for 12 days ,some of the nurses in this ward are amazingly caring and verry professional, Zoey, Sean, chellsy, Erin, Ash, Queeny, Jeanette, normsta, Tiffany, Lisa, karrin, Danni, and Anastasia is a verry good nurse also although I nearly hit the roof when she ramed the morphine needle into my arse ,I guess it's just the Russian way, but overall I cauld not have been treated any better.
