Adelaide Independent Taxis

I caught a taxi with this company from Adelaide airport to Glenalta last Monday & found the cab, driver & route he took to the destination very good. When I unpacked, I discovered I’d left my phone in the cab. I could only use Messenger to contact company & report my loss. I was so surprised when my driver turned up with the phone during the afternoon at no cost to me. I didn’t know the drivers name or cab number but I think this service needs to be acknowledged & I will certainly use this company again.

Ordered a taxi for 0420 this morning 9/11. At 0425 decided we might call to find out what the delay was. No answer on the phone. Ordered an uber, it'll be here in 5 minutes. This is why the Taxi industry is losing business and the fight with uber etc... The taxi was eventually 13 minutes late, far too late seeing as I'd ordered the uber which arrived a minute after this. The driver, not his fault as far as I'm concerned, stated he'd received the job 3 minutes ago and technical issues with the system. Perhaps Independent should either fix their system or have their drivers arrive one time.

Usually the quickest taxi service in the noarlunga/Hackham area to come out, usually good drivers

Would never never recommend this company. Left us stranded. Booked well in advance and even confirmed booking on the day as advised too. When they did not turn up we contacted them and was told that no maxi cab was available in the area and could not even tell us if one was available. Very rude. What’s the point of booking if they can’t guarantee a cab?????

Called a taxi and it was here in less than 5 minutes, great safe friendly driver, this is the only taxi company I'll use now.
