I stumbled across this shopping centre cafe and gave them a chance purely on the fact that they roast their own beans on site. Sadly, that’s where the magic ends. Expect very basic snack bar quality food at cafe pricing with equally poor customer service. The coffee leaves an awful lot to be desired - don’t be fooled by the hoards of specialty coffee equipment they have for sale in their retail area. It’s a hot spot for those aged 70+ and their menu strongly reflects that.
It is always a pleasure to have a meal at The Javahut. If you love pancakes, all day breakfast options, and some delicious lunchtime meals, with coffee that gently caresses your soul, than this is the place for you!nI would recommend calling ahead to avoid the disappointment of not getting a table as they are popular for a reason, but the staff will always do whatever they can to accommodate you even if you don't have a booking.
