This new yet uninspiring church was intended to replace the magnificent original church building which is a real shame. However the new building is surrounded by a group of some of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in Toodyay townstite. I recommend a wander around compound (a recently vacated monastery) to admire the care and craftsmanship that the old buildings here still exhibit. The 4 stars are for the monastery. Will change to 5 when the place is restored.
