Ficus

Went to Ficus for 2020 New Year celebration as it was close to the Yagan Square festivities. We found a great seat at the restaurant outside and settled in to enjoy the evening.nnDrinks took 10-15 minutes to order each time at the bar, the bar was not busy it was just slow.nnAfter the fourth time of going inside to order drinks from the same person they informed me that I should go outside as there was table service, we had been there for 2 hours at this point and I assure you no one was waiting on us.nnAt 11:40 we decided to order a glass of sparkling so we could toast the new year. When the waiter came by they informed us they were no longer serving. What???? How can you stop serving 20 minutes before midnight on NYE? Ridiculous.nnI would not recommend this restaurant to anyone if you appreciate good service or people with common sense. Worst experience I’ve had in Perth to date.nnNo response from owner either???

A colleague and I met at Ficus for lunch one Friday during a two week school holidays period. The atmosphere was calm, no screeching kids & harried adult guardians, as so often is the case in Perth city when school is out. We were seated in a lovely area overlooking a portion of Yagan Square & were able to converse easily & uninterrupted. The entire wait staff were amazingly polite & efficient, a most welcome surprise in Western Australia. Chloe, our waitress, provided helpful tips as it was our first time there. The food was affordable & tasty. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Great atmosphere. Have only had lunches there, so can say it is perfect for them. Great value specials and full menu has a good range of choices. Not sure of his title but the head waiter was very easy going, casual but efficient. Very happy with the service. Indoor and outdoor seating options so something to suit everyone.

Had dinner with friends and was very impressed with the food and service. All the staff were friendly especially Tim who greeted us and made us feel welcome. The food was amazing every dish we ordered was delicious and reasonably priced. Couldn't decide on a bottle of wine so Tim was more than happy to bring along a few for tastings. Great atmosphere and location will definitely return.

Food was nice. I loved chill and cozy atmosphere. All staff were kind and made us feel well served.nnStrange why then just three stars?nnThere were bunch of people (maybe homeless? Or else?) right in front of the lift to restaurant and lady's toilet. From a mummy looking woman to a young teen looking boy kept confronting me asked give them money for cigarettes were not something expected and made me very uncomfortable.
