The Abel Tasman Motel

The room had a coffee/tea station but no mugs/cups. Electrical outlets exposed and we stayed with 2 children. Booking was made for 4 people and only 2 towels were left for use. Room was overall clean and tidy as 1 positive, but everything was very worn and not in great condition. I had low expectations considering the price but was still disappointed.

Room was not clean and smelled horrible. It was a non-smoking room but stank of smoke (amount other things). The bed and pillows stank and were dirty. The pillow had a white crusty substance on it (do not want to know what it was). Most surfaces were covered in dust and dirt. Staff couldn’t have cared less about our concerns. Booked four nights and left after 5 minutes.

Rooms were disgusting, blood in the shower and on the bathroom door, bloody fingernail on the floor, construction nails sticking out of the floor, urine stained bedding and non-working lights. Everyone around were glaring at us and being creeps. DO NOT STAY. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Good service nice and friendly staff a nice place to stay

Not sure how the 2.5 star rating happened. Noting positive to say about the stay. Filthy dirty everywhere....Walls, tables, floor, fridge, bathrooms..... and what ever you do don’t pull the beds out. Would recommend packing socks or gum boots because you wouldn’t walk on the carpet. If they do employee cleaners I’d say they are not doing much cleaning. It may be close to the airport ... but I would drive the extra.
