Broadbeach Library

The service was top notch. From the kind bubbly librarian that patiently tried to find my card details to the lovely librarian Anita who kindly played cars with my 3 year old son. Thank you so much for providing such a personal and lovely environment at a time where everything feels chaotic.

Very lovely staff member and security guard outside welcoming everyone. To save time take your library card with you to scan in when you enter and scan out when you exit otherwise there is the option to sign in with name,address,email,phone number and the time u enter before u enter the building and on the way out write your time out and pop in the box :)

An absolute genius decided it was a good idea to rope off the entry path from the toilet access. It's so great having everyone say on repeat "make sure you scan you card on your way out" when one's simply going to the bathroom.

Library was very organised with excellent covid-19 procedures. It wasn't as busy as I expected. Interesting selection of new books.

pros: Internet is good. enough space. Many comfortable places to sit. Lots of variety of books and movies. It has aircon. cons: There is a lot of noise (Many kids. People talking on the phone. people talking loudly). few people understand that a library needs to be a little quieter. only have a drinking fountain for children. its not a very safe place (someone stole my bike there. it was locked. it happened in front of the library. and nobody from the library helped me at all). after all it's a good place..
