Toowong Library

State of the art facilities, ample space, quiet environment, comfortable furniture and helpful staff. I am very grateful to Brisbane City Council and the Australian government for providing such a great place for the public to read, learn and expand their knowledge and skills. This is one of many reasons I am grateful and proud to call Australia my home. Thank you!

Great little library, after hours return slots at the front entrance, with the new automated “book shelf” return system inside, to the left once inside the main doors. Simply return your books by placing them onto the open shelves and it will automatically scan them in. Just remember to double check the screen is correctly displaying the number of books returned/or the book titles. Books issued from any local library branch you choose can be returned to any Brisbane library. Very relaxed & comfortable armchairs & seating areas with study tables along the window area, which is a popular spot for students. The staff are extremely approachable, friendly & eager to help if needed. The library is modern, light & bright with a very relaxed atmosphere. Its a popular spot for mums with bubs, there is a closed in book area for the young ones, & the library offers regular story time reading sessions, just check with the staff for session times & details.

Comfy chairs and friendly, helpful staff - what more could you want? It’s a library, so books, sure - I most often use the inter-library loans system to place holds and have them brought to Toowong for me to pick up at my convenience. If I want I can be in and out in a minute or two if I’m just returning and picking up holds, but I love a wander through the stacks when I have time to linger.

Visited the Town Library today. So awed by the updated research/learning materials. Very spacoius with wonderful staff to assist you! I definitely feel at home here!
